Thomas The Tank Engine with Winnie the Pooh

I've been really enjoying making the cake for children....! This time is for Christian(3) and Luke(1). Christian loves everything Thomas the tank. Luke who just turn 1 last week loves whinie the Pooh. Kinda hard to decide what sort of design for the boys. But I do remember that every kids love balloon and bright colour!!

I think, I haven't done that well with thomas face.... :)(hik..) looks very serious....

So at the end, the cake has balloon, stars, thomas and friends , and ofcourse- Winnie the pooh and frends too........ :D (love it)

I love to decorate this cake .....it's fun! It's jungle(ly) and flowerly too! I wish I could put more things threre such as frogs... or lion or any other animal. It's really about the Dora Explorer!!

After a few shot of photos, I just realized that I have made wrong Boots(the monkey). So, I quickly change him a bit.......and walaaah... he got his hair and ears on the side.... :)

Hmmm. my Kitty is back in action again... I love this "hello kitty" decoration...she is the cutest cat...:)
This time is order by Anastasia's mum who loves pink colour for her girl. However, this time she allowed me to use other colour which make me more easier to decorate. For me, any colour of flowers are suitable for girl and it will be more merier when they are combine......

I made this cake for the church's 40th Birthday. I cover and decorated the cake quite late nite due there were another cake that I have to finish and then I have to attend the dinner. I start at 11 o'clock and finish about half past one in the morning. Hmmm....I found in the morning that the borders wasn't pipe well........ :(

But I am quite happy with the frangipani flowers that I made

100 years Celebration of life

This is Alice Smith, the oldest member of our church congregation of Glenfield Baptist Church. She turned 100 years old on 25th September 2009. She might be old but her spirit for loving and caring others are amazing. Her memories are incrediblle. She just will remember all your family members name and things that happened in your life. Not for gossiping but to be prayed and asking God's Blessing for us. She had all the list of people that she will pray for everyday.
What a wonderful servant of God.
She always said to others that I am one of her daughter. And I have the honour to make her birthday cake. She loves flowers with bright colour. I made this Red pink bright roses made from buttercream with the white sponge cake filled with a lot of fresh strawberries and cream inside. She loves the cake very much and said like the older day's cake.

Simple decoration like how she wants, it just like her how she always passes the day without complains and live simple.

Look at her.... isn't she beautiful?

This is her second cake. We celebrate her birthday Sunday at Church. Again, I have the honour to do her cake.

I use more deeper red colour for the roses. I made this cake with white sponge cake too as she doesn't like chocolate or banana cake....:)

Pastor Collin gave her blessing prayer and also asked her, "what is the secret of your long life?" and she just smile and simple said,"Just be good, I guess" ... :)

On the table, you can see the card with Queen Elizabeth photo which is really from the queen of England that send this card for her. It is a tradition in New Zealand that people start with 100 years old and up will be send the birthday card from the Queen. Other cards also from the Prime Minister of New Zealand and MP from the local government.

This cupcake is for Dylan 2nd Birthday. His mum, Sarb asking for something cute cupcake for a boy. Which mean don't want any pink color and no flower please she said. I saw Shinta from Olanos' design of the sesame cupcakes which I think are very cute and very suitable for boys like his age. At the end, Dylan had a great party!! That's what Sarb told me.

Hi all, Sorry for my late late posting! Sometimes, I just dont have enough time to do all this. Not because I was busy with my baking or decorating. Actually is my part time work(that sometimes become full time) and classes that I have to attend to improve my skill of cake decorating. I've been really really drawn with this cake decorating. So many different methods and so many beautiful things that you be able to make. You need a lot of patience and time to consume. This wedding cake, was 1st wedding cake I made. It was made for Fanny and Pico. The colour that I used here is orange, gold and ivory for the icing.

I have to thank Louise from Cake Journal who teached at her blog How to make a cake stand. It was great Idea and had made the cake a very special looks!

I like to do this kind of cake... Its so simple, easy and nice combination too! Although I prefer roses made from fresh cream but when you ran out of the time and stock, you can just use whatever you think it will suit the cake.

The icing is fresh cream then sugar paste flower and a heart sign Happy birthday is made from chocolate with strawberry paste.

This is my 1st cake for my best friend, Kelly. She is a girl from El Savador. Sweet, always smile and warm heart. We use this cake when we celebrate with our brothers and sisters at church.
I am not sure what happened with my chocolate writting...???? so ugly! Sorry Kelly!

She loves roses but dont like to grow them! She just like to enjoy them and get them from someone else .... :p ... oh well, thats our Kelly!

This is her second cake. She used this cake to celebrate at her work place.(North Shore Hospital) This time, I got the writting right. Oh by the way, Both cake are sponge cake, fill with peach and white choc mouse. The outside, I decorate with Non diary fresh cream and the flowers, I just use the sugar paste.

One of my friend's daughter is turning 16 and I was asked to make a surprise cake for her. Turning 16 was ages ago for me(he-he.. :) ....)but what I remember was, that I want to look mature ...ach! But now, I want to look young again!! Anyway, I just decided to make something that is elegant but simple! and still look "WOW" (hopefully)

I am quite happy with this decoration because some of you might think is buttercream icing. Actually its Non dairy cream that I have found! It taste not bad at all (well thats what my friends told me) even its a bit sweet for me and also, the cream was firm and hold the shape beautifully. Then, I added up with fondant numbers and girls sitting on the rock.

Potatoes' Donut

Who doesn't like donut? I think most of us love this snack or can be dessert-depend on the filling or topping you want. I got this recipe from my Indonesian's friend. Yes, the mixture are mix with some massed potatoes which made these donuts even more tastier and filling. All my children and friends love it so much!! I made these donuts yesterday for my Sunday School Kids.
They really enjoyed this treat and some of them even have 2! Wow

61th Wedding Anniversary

Sandra's request was, a very simple cake with a bunch of flowers.....with soft peach colour.The cake itself is a rich fruit cake but with no alcohol in it.

21st Birthday

One of my friend's daughter request a 21st birthday cake. The style of this cake is from Peggy's decorating book.
The colour of this cake goes with the invitation cards' colour...

For the base, I made the cake from chocolate sponge with vanilla mouse as a filling and for the top cake, I made white sponge with strawberry mouse.

For every corner, I added roses to make the looks more special.

Styrofoam decoration

This might be familiar if you are from my country(indonesia). We use to decorate the cake with the styrofoam background for the birthday cake. Then, we add up with some other things from butter cream. The ready made decoration styrofoam are very easy to be find in indonesia. They are made in many different styles that suite the themes. It is easy and good to use when we are short of time.

For this cake, I added up a little girl made up from fondant wearing a "hula"skirt as the party theme is Hawaian dance. Flowers everywhere. Louisa, the birthday girl, loves every cuty cuty things. So, I put some "hello kitties" dolls to make the cake looks merrier.

Graduation Cake

I made this cake for my son's graduation. I have only a limit of time because I was trying to make a surprise for him. So, the hat look quite "wobly" because it wasn't really dry when I put it together. Then I put 3 teddies, one with graduation hat, sitting on the top of books and the other one is holding a big pencil. All teddies are dummies made from plastic. Well done my son! Congratulation!

60th Wedding Anniversary

Was a chalange for me to make this cake. It's the first time for me to make people figure, standing and dancing(?)...! I spend a lot of hours, just to make them stand firm(**gigle**).
